ACTIVITY 1- CONSTRUCTION OF WIND-VANE

DESCRIPTION: TAMOGHNA MOOKHERJEE OF CLASS XI A (SCIENCE), MADE A MODEL OF A WIND-VANE TO DETERMINE THE DIRECTION OF WIND.

A wind vane is an instrument that shows the direction from which the wind is blowing. It is one of the simplest weather instruments, that has been used since the ancient times.

ACTIVITY 2- CONSTRUCTION OF HOLOGRAM PROJECTOR

DESCRIPTION: PIYUSH JAIN OF CLASS XI C (SCIENCE), MADE A MODEL OF A HOLOGRAM PROJECTOR TO CREATE 3-DIMENSIONAL IMAGES BY THE PHENOMENON OF REFRACTION OF LIGHT. HOLOGRAPHIC PROJECTORS USE HOLOGRAMS RATHER THAN GRAPHIC IMAGES TO PRODUCE PROJECTED PICTURES. SPECIAL WHITE LIGHT OR LASER BEAM IS USED ON TO OR THROUGH HOLOGRAMS. THE PROJECTED LIGHT PRODUCES BRIGHT 2D OR 3D IMAGES.

ACTIVITY 3- CONSTRUCTION OF HYDRAULIC ROBOTIC ARM

DESCRIPTION: ATRI DATTA OF CLASS XII B (SCIENCE) CREATED A HYDRAULIC ROBOTIC ARM THAT MAY BE USED AS AN ARTIFICIAL ARM BY THE DISABLED PEOPLE. It operates using syringe pistons and water pressure, thus utilising the concept of Pascal’s law of fluid pressure. This device can be modified further by using a motor system and voice-controlled app, which can then be used as an artificial arm for the disabled people.
