Beas Jana of Class of XA DB participated in the IIMUN

She had participated in the committee UN women. It was her first experience.She was appreciated by the chairperson.

“On being encouraged by one of my seniors, I participated in the IIMUN (India’s International Movement to Unite Nations) Digital Conference 17.0 which was held on the 25th and 26th of July, 2020. I was a part of the committee ‘United Nations Women’ , representing the Islamic Republic of Iran. The agenda was” Dealing with increased domestic violence due to coronavirus”. The committee proceedings included moderated and unmoderated caucuses, challenges, presidential addresses and joint statements. Our committee was successful in passing a declaration on Day 2 with full majority. It was indeed a very interesting programme where delegates from across the country got an opportunity to interact, discuss important issues, compete yet never hesitate to encourage each other. It has been one of the most memorable experiences of my life .I look forward to participate in more such conferences in the coming days.”
