A Workshop on Positive Parenting

Adamas International School believes in the wholesome development of children through the joint endeavor of the school and families of the students.

To foster this, a workshop on Positive Parenting was conducted in school by Dr Salony Priya. Dr Salony Priya is a counseling psychologist working in the area of Education Management, Human Development & Training , student empowerment & comprehensive counseling for more than 21 years and her interventions have reached out to several educational institutions, corporate and social organizations . She is founder Director of Ummeed Counselling & Consulting services , a multi-specialty positive psychology institution operating from Calcutta where she empowers, enables and energizes populace with therapies, workshops and individualized sessions.

The objectives of the session were: To break the myths of parenting and create awareness on the significance of positive psychology spectrum, to emphasise on proactive strategies to deal with everyday situations, to enable the parents to understand Long term parenting goals and to empower parents to encourage their children and appreciate them despite their differences from the socially accepted norm.
